Yes we’ve had a lot of office templates, but JA Edenite is very popular also!

edenite downloads ~6600
teline II downloads ~9000 (and teline II has had less time online than edenite)

Personally, I’ve never really used Teline! But I can see why others do, Teline III when advertised properly could be another major hit.

I also use RT Templates now, they have something that is not available from here. I also use templates from here, they have something that is not available from RT, but when it comes to what a template shall bring in extensions and stuff for a news or magazine style template, the tip to RT SolarSentinal is fitting.

This isn’t supposed to be a “this club is better than your club” thread. If there are features you think should be included in a possible TELINE III, then voice your thoughts and ideas here.

Harping on about what another club does serves and telling us that you like using their templates serves no useful purpose whatsoever within the context of this thread theme.

All the features SolarSentinal brings sum up what a JA Teline III would need to be a modern fancy progressive template. Most users will better understand what people want when looking at an example like the new RT one, than a list of features they do not understand.

And this is important, as the voice of people often makes a decision and the more open the mouth and want a competiting template to SolarSentinal, because they see what this one brings in action, the more useful it is and a consideration worth by JA.

In the past we had the cases that a link to Shape5 for example, yeah some moderator awoke from the dead and posted why this link is posted here by a regular member, but in the endeffect, Joomlart.com followed this one and brough out a new template “from listening to their members that posted links to other clubs” and people really liked it…;)

Well its kinda good. But when the frontpage news are different (height / lengh) the layout doesnt look that professional. There need to be some kind of automated resize so that all frontpage-categories are in the same size.

I joined recently the club to try Tellini II. While it has some good functions it is very basic for a newspaper style template. I am a journalist, not a designer. For ideas, just look at the major newspapers around the world, make a design and add all the latest multimedia functions/extensions that are ready for Joomla, including of course the JA News extensions.
For example:

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/
http://www.kathimerini.gr/
http://www.guardian.co.uk/
There are a few newspaper wordpress templates in the market from a specific company that look great but you cannot have the Joomla power.
A visit to these newspapers can give an idea what is the trend in the market. Such a design with some good marketing will be a huge success for Joomlart, even if it is more expensive.

With JA now at their “one template a month” schedule … perhaps we can revitalize interest and “petition” for a new-and-improved / well-tested Teline III. There are a good number of very cool suggestions throughout this thread for new and improved features – keep them coming !!!
