I install Ja Teline IV in Joomla 1.6 on my localhost and set it to default template. But the front end doesn’t look like the demo. Please see attached screenshot. This is what I see.
What did I do wrong?
Please help.

March 12, 2011 at 3:27 pm #381008Did you install the quickstart?
It could have been something has gone amis with your download. Please try again with a fresh copy of the quickstart. If that fails I will download a copy and test that on my localhost to verify if it is good.

March 12, 2011 at 4:41 pm #381019You do not upload the quickstart from the Joomla back end. It is a complete Joomla install in itself. Simply unpack it to whatever location you want your new Joomla install and browse to it. You can then run through the normal Joomla installer that it presents and just make sure you install the sample data at the end. You will then have an exact copy of the demo site.

March 12, 2011 at 6:18 pm #381032What software are you using on localhost?
As an example, with WAMP you create a directory in the www directory and that should be whatever you want your site to be called. Inside that folder you put all the quickstart files in the same way you would with a normal Joomla install. The quickstart is just that, a normal Joomla install with a few files and a few extra dbase entries added.
March 12, 2011 at 6:33 pm #381033I follow through your setps. Then I get the following message.
The most recent request was denied because it contained an invalid security token. Please refresh the page and try again.

March 12, 2011 at 6:48 pm #381036I don’t have myPhpAdmin on my local machine. I have my Joomla 1.5 backup copy on my machine. Can I copy the old database and put it in the Joomla 1.6 folder? If so, where can I find the datebase?

March 12, 2011 at 7:38 pm #381043Why do you want a database imported?
WAMP does have phpmyadmin included but you do not need it to create a new test install. Simply follow through the normal joomla install procedure on your localhost and create a new database name while you are installing. Joomla will do that for you as long as you provide the correct database username and password during the installation. It will not help installing a different database as it will have all the wrong data for your new install.
March 12, 2011 at 7:57 pm #381044I follow through the normal joomla install and type in a new database name in the Database Name field but still get the following message.

Thank you.
