January 22, 2011 at 1:04 pm #159111Ok, i have just installed fresh install of Joomla 1.6 Teline IV which went beta today.
There is a problem with install in that the plugin framework gives out error:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class JDocumentHTML in plugins/system/jat3/jat3/core/joomla/documenthtml.php on line 514so there is a bug in framework 1.2.1
Please check this out since its causing all templates to not work.
Thanks :-*

January 22, 2011 at 8:37 pm #373217hi,
I checked your site, its not a quickstart install and all your modules / menu items are missing the config settings. I compared your site with the demo site. You should try again with installing the Quickstart.
Regarding your tickets, the tickets are attending only from 8am-5pm from Monday – friday only. So those would now be checked only on monday.
For now i am confused about your site issue. I would be checking the same on my localhost and let me see if i can get to the root of this.

January 22, 2011 at 8:59 pm #373219Yeah i stated its not quickstart since database is full of articles. Use the site as much as you want but there is obvious problem. I didnt even get to setting up modules yet since the template problem occured.
Btw i will leave it as it stands so you guys can check it throughoutly for problem. I am old joomla user and not first timer so i am pretty sure its not my end of the problem. So use site and share it with devs to faster find problem

January 23, 2011 at 2:01 pm #373282This is odd, I had no problem itself with the installation using the QuickStart Kit that I downloaded a few hours after it came out. I got exactly the same general layout appearance as the JA Teline IV (Joomla 1.5) — except of course it was a Joomla 1.6.
I unpublished many of the modules however, so the site looks ugly right now:
Teline IV-Joomla 1.6 Sandboxbut it works, as far as I can view it. The code “1600” means it is a Joomla 1.6, and it is a “trial” (first) installation for the Teline IV in Joomla 1.6. It is intended as a SandBox before other installations would be made for actual use as websites.
Thus, the
Teline IV-Joomla 1.6 Sandbox shown is now very different from the Demo as I am at the experimental stage of revising the layout (simplifying it further) and the features- For now, I unpublish many of the Teline IV modules, including the JA News Pro modules. I may place some of them back later as I learn how they work.
- You may not even recognize the FrontPage module, because I opted for the much simpler Teline II layout. The absence of constantly sliding feature article uses too much system memory.
- I changed so many of the CSS files (height of Header, removed most of the uppercase, etc.)
- Also, I physically deleted some of the features, e.g., the Latest Update, Footer, etc.
The goal is to make it faster, and to use as few sets of modules to create a newsmagazine website.
One suggestion, if I ever encounter any problem with the installation itself, I find it easier just to start all over again. The browser-based Quickstart installation takes about 5-10 minutes from start of “installation” to the message that it installed successfully.
Sometimes, the error may be cause by some random technical difficulty or something else. And, if I ever encounter an error that I have no clue could be causing it, I make it a point to download a fresh QuickStart kit.
It beats waiting ror technical support here, who would be hardpressed to figure out what you may have messed up. It is not always the script.
Cornelio
Note:
I follow the simple webbrowser installation. Also, because the Quickstart kit is rather huge. I make it a point to unpack the kit in my computer before FTP upload. The upload takes forever if the kit is unpacked first, but this process is most reliable for me.splico123 Friendsplico123

January 23, 2011 at 2:53 pm #373284I agree but the fact of the matter still stands that on localhost as well as on 4 different servers i have been able to reproduce the same error. Which in turn means its not the joomla problem. And it only happens if you install jat3 system plugin on its own and templates too.
This would not be an issue at all if it was one instance of a problem but multiples. Well better safe than sorry i say and look into it than let it pass. Afterall we all want as stable and as awesome template and framework so these konks are better worked out.
Or maybe i am asking too much

splico123,
Did you use the QuickStart? And, do you unpack the zip file before you upload and install?
If you did it 4x, was it from the same single kit you downloaded from Joomlart? I had situations in the past when I had an odd error just following installation (this is quite rare experience).
Instead of agonizing about it and wasting time trying to figure out what could have gone awry, I would just download a fresh QuickStart template from Joomlart, and perform another installation. This worked for me all the time, as far as Joomla/Joomlart installations.
After my first Teline installation in August 2007, and I had encountered an error and tried to seek help here, it took forever and got so much flack I tried to solve things on my own.
The main issue that I find, as far as installation issues are concerned is that the readers (including Joomlart staff) would have difficulty really fathoming what “we” have done that led to the error problem. Usually the cause is very simple, and sometimes it is also random.

January 23, 2011 at 5:16 pm #373305Splico123,
As previously mentioned, it will be fixed when the devs return to work so no need to worry. No need to keep tyring on different servers either.
