I am wondering if one of you can help me to understand why I am not able to get anything to show on the site after upgrading the following:

    Joomla 2.5.27 -_ 2.5.28 – 3.3.6

    T3 Framework upgraded to 2.4.1

JA Teline Template upgraded to Ja_teline_iv_t3 1.1.1
(I am hoping this is the correct template.

In particular I have a couple T3 frameworks installed and would like only the good one left.

I left a copy of the old template in place in case we wanted to use it to help configure this new one. but, if it is a problem go ahead and delete it!

My new template install took the name of JLIB_INSTALLER_DEFAULT_STYLE which must be wrong!

I know that I have to upgrade all my modules, components and other plugins but I since I am getting an error message on my site about “Missing jat3 framework plugin” I thought that is the first place to spend some effort.

    Thank you, Sean Carney

So sorry. The credentials I gave you are good and the account is a super user. But, I did not activate the account. I was moving too fast. It is activated now!

I am thinking that maybe what I need to do is delete all instrances of T3 and the JA Teline IV template and then reinstall fresh the framework and the template? I had been thinking to keep a copy of the old template but since this site is a copy of an existing site that we are upgrading here I do actually have a good copy on the original (live) site.

Anyhow, I think you may also find that I had to turn off all the plugins in order to get the system to upgrade to Joomla 3.3.6 so there may be some plugins that need to be activated.

Thank you for being willing to look at this!

    Hi there,
You have missed right version of JA T3 Framework

    http://www.joomlart.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=2089
I have installed and enabled this on your site.
But you have another issue with file_get_ contents. Most like permission issue.
Please check it at your side.

Ps:// you have so many extensions installed on your site. Please consider it would cause your system conflict.

    Thank you,

Thank you for installing the correct T3 for me. I guess this is T3v2?

I just set the latest JA Teline IV as default and this is the error message now:

“Warning: file_get_contents(http://samag.cloudaccess.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=2130&lang=en) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: HTTP request failed! HTTP/1.1 500 T3 Plugin is not enabled in /mnt/data/vhosts/casite-640273.cloudaccess.net/httpdocs/templates/ja_teline_iv/error.php on line 14″

Does this error message still seem like a permissions problem to you?

Thanks for the comments about too many extensions. I am trying to help friends upgrade this site and want to try to get rid of most of the extensions and try to just use your extensions!

We are actually leaning towards using your new JA Teline V with the latest T3 but thought getting out previous JA Teline IV site to work first with Joomla 3 probably is a logical next step.

OK. There may be some more information I need to give to you. I had downloaded and installed what I thought was the latest JA Teline IV. It created a folder in my templates folder called ja_teline_iv_t3. I already had a folder called ja_teline_iv. What I was trying to do is to use your latest version of JA Teline IV along with the latest appropriate version of T3.

After you installed the T3 version for me I realized that the selected default template style was from the OLD JA Teline IV template and so I changed the default template to the latest one. Now I am getting the error message that is above and I am getting it from both the front end and the back end. Basically I am locked out of the site. I can roll back to a previous state.

Although my preference would be to login with ssh or ftp and edit some file to be able to change the default template. Then I am thinking to confirm with you which is the latest JA Teline IV template and the correct version of T3 to go with the latest template version. I would give you my FTP access but am not sure how to give you private data in this ticket.

Once I know the correct JA Teline IV and the correct T3 version to go with Joomla 3.3.6 then I would remove all the previous installs and make sure I only install the correct one.

Somehow the error message we are getting is pointing to the old JA Teline IV folder and not the latest one. ie. /templates/ja_teline_iv/ instead of /templates/ja_teline_iv_t3/

Thank for any more advice you can give about how I might get back into the site without rolling it back.

Sorry to be so verbose. I got my answer. I downloaded the Quickstart for JA Teline IV for Joomla 3.3 and discovered the correct version of the template framework is currently version 2.4.1 of T3.

I will roll back my site to a time before I got locked out and then delete all the old template and framework files and try again installing the latest JA Teline IV and also the latest framework. Hopefully all will be well and I will not need any more help on this issue.

    Hi there
Oki. So this topic will be solved.

Yes, this is solved. The problem was created as follows:

I left my old JA Teline IV template and also installed the new JA Teline IV template. These two templates used different frameworks.

You all installed the older framework not realizing I was just keeping it as a model. (which I discovered is a BAD idea)

So, I selected as Default template the new template and that template could not use the old framework. So, this is just in case anybody else tries to do the same thing.

My site is now working although it appears as if the template is actually missing most of it’s positions. So, there must be something I have to do to turn on the position? I will open another thread about this so you can close this one.
