    hi,

based on the great JA Teline template my web about brain injuries comes to new life.
    Link -> http://www.sht-st.org/

I have reinstalled the ja-news mod (V1.0) but I have still problems… maybe one of you can give me a tip? But as I’m disabled (heavy brain injuries) it’s for me and my visitors wich are mostly disabled people not a ‘big thing’. (sorry my english… it was perfect before the accident but now…>:( )

for the grafics in the content i use JFlexImages http://www.jahoart.eu/ wich is very good (my view 😉 )
im the right mod position is a slider for mods from Prodigy http://www.joomlaprodigy.com/index.php wich is good to.
As forum I use fireboard wich I have to make still more boards…
for the FAQ’s I use the mosKnowgledgeBase from Phil Tayler a great Component for Joomla!

I have still more than 300 articles to put on the web because I used before a html based web… but as i’m a disabled with full rent I have enough time to work on my web… if I’m not walking with my dogs (labradors)…

on the other hand or because I have some problems with my brain 😎 I have a bit longer to make things… but It’s a good training for me and I hope I can give a little bit to other disabled people allover the world (or at least the german speaking regions)

any comment or tip how I can make this web better is helpfull – thank’s

You wanted negative feedback, here is the only “drawbacks” I could find:

1: I would have wanted to use a bit more ( or at least bigger ) graphic in the header of the site to make it easier for visitors to know what/where they have arrived,.

2: I would have wanted to reduce the number of categories on your front page and just keep perhaps top 8 categories. Or maybe even only 6 top categories. Then link to the others on the right hand side or from some dropdown in the top perhaps. ( maybe that is also where you have them, german isn’t my thing )

3: I would have kept the right module with the mouse over panel ( Forum, Latest news, Pendenx, Folgen ) smaller as it is a bit too big (too much info inside )

4: The slideinfo on the right hand side doesn’t have the blue arrow central on the menu header. This looks kinda “cheap” and would improve the site if you managed to place it in the center ( not in the middle but now it is placed in the top instead of added the space above and below the “button” ( menu header text )
( this is with FF, might look different in IE, I wouldn’t know )

Ok, that is all I can see for now. Hope it is to any help. The site is great and I think you have done a really good job with the site!

I think your site needs more graphic material. You can for instance place an image of someone gliding into an mri-tube or an x-ray of a head, then people know where they’ve arrived. And graphics do often enlive a site more. I noticed you have graphics but the’re way too small (at least in my opinion)

    good luck with your site

    Hello ErikThorsen,

tank you very much for your feedback, that’s what I need.

Yes, I think that too, I had to shrink my logo. I use this template as it is, I’m not a coder oder template-specialist. How I can modify or how I can make the header bigger? The normal size of my logo is 85×121 pixels – like this and I would be very happy when I could get the header in this size,

Okay, I have reduced the numbers to 8, I want there at least the injuries like brain-stroke etc. (6) and the latest in medical and brain research topics – is this what you think?

Here I have to tell you the same… I’m not a coder :-[ , can you give me a tip how to make this? I will shrink the text a little bit…

    Hi wicky,

thank you very much for your feedback!

Hmm, yes a site for ‘normal people… but what is with my members (2 in the moment) wich are blind? I have some difficulties with my sight too but these people need special software wich tells them what is on a website (I have this too, for testing my web). For that reason I must put only a little amount of pictures – please do not forget this website is for disabled people to give them help and support and for normal people to show them that 1 second (1!!!) can change there life completely.
It’s possible to make a part of the web for ‘normal’ and another part for blind people with joomla?

    Thank’s for any answer…
