I’ve read every forum thread for Teline IV containing the word “thumbnail” and still haven’t found my answer… let me try to explain.
MY PROBLEM:
I’m using the JA Thumbnail Plugin for my Teline IV site (containing a large number of images). I’m using the JA-Bulletin Module, JA-NewsPro Module, and JA FrontPageNews Module. I’m ONLY able to get the module parameters option “using image source” to work properly (however, the image isn’t scaled down with ratio and doesn’t look good).
I’d need to use one of the other options (“using resize” or “using crop”) but every time I try this (in all 3 of the modules listed above) I get an error (see attachment). If this is a permissions issue, what is the exact path for the directory or file(s) that I need to change?
Also, regarding the “Auto” “Manual” “Disable” options… I’d like to avoid entering code for every article and/or each article’s images. I also do not want all article images to be resized in the full versions of every article.
THANK YOU TO ANYONE WHO CAN HELP!!!

please check your ftp config, it has to be corrected to avoid this error.<blockquote>Also, regarding the “Auto” “Manual” “Disable” options… I’d like to avoid entering code for every article and/or each article’s images. unfortunately you have to manually edit in each articles, ja thumnails does not support such feature.February 14, 2011 at 5:39 pm #376673Thank you for trying to help me out; however, the rest of my changes via joomla’s backend seem to work properly. This is the only time I get errors on the site regarding JFTP. I checked the FTP settings in Joomla’s Global Configuration and everything looks to be correct. Why is it that I get the error “JFTP::write:Bad response” every time I try to resize or crop in these three modules???
Can I PLEASE provide my logins to you for further help. This is driving me insane.
February 16, 2011 at 2:39 pm #376983Did we ever get an answer on this problem? I have the same issue with my images on Teline III v 2 only appearing if I have the module set to Use Image Source which obviously creates logistical problems. Seems to be a server setting rather than FTP permissions but some clarification would be apprecaited.
