March 24, 2011 at 4:43 pm #161898Hello,
I want to report a problem about Ja Top Panel. My Ja Top Panel was missing after downloading IE9.
I did try the demo page of Joomlart for this module located at
http://demo.joomlart.com/extensions15/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=135&Itemid=123
and this page has the same problem. I did try the page with IE8 and IE7 compatibility test and Ja Top Panel was working fine with previous versions. I would like to ask the admin to post a fix or release an updated version.
Also this module has been put in my Ja Portfolio template by Tien, however in my website, it is also missing in IE7 version. Can I ask Tien or anyone else go give a fix to this as well.
Thanks.

March 28, 2011 at 3:13 am #383528Dear amir00251,
I opened the fiel of modules/mod_jatoppanel/assets/style.css,change this css
.ja-toppanel-mainwrap {
position: absolute;
padding: 0;
margin: 0;
z-index: 100;
width: 100%;
}To this
.ja-toppanel-mainwrap {
position: relative;
padding: 0;

May 31, 2011 at 2:22 pm #393887Ja Top Panle is a critical module sometimes including some important information and modules inside. I think with any new major version of Browsers, this module should be updated urgently and with priorety. Please give an update. Thanks.

May 31, 2011 at 2:44 pm #393894You have to remember that there are a lot of templates to update when a new browser is released. Testing and upgrading takes a lot of effort and even then some things will be missed. Is your site now fixed? If so I will mark this thread as closed.

May 31, 2011 at 2:51 pm #393899I know there are many templates, I am talking about module itself. I use this module in Ja Portfolio, if module was updated for IE9 then I can just update the module.

May 31, 2011 at 3:14 pm #393912Don’t worry, your comments are taken on board. I will mark this thread as solved and hopefully in future modules will be updated faster.

October 16, 2011 at 2:14 pm #419652Hello, It is now several months from this post and this issue still exists.
It would probably take only few minues by a developer to solve this issue of JA top panel in IE9 and it is a critical issue. If someone uses ja top panel and it is not updated by release of new browsers, so what is the point of releasing this extension.
No one can push users to not to upgrade to IE9!!!
Looking forward to an update.
