    Hello

    The new template looks fantastic and am desperate to use it on one of my sites (which already uses an older JA template).

    Can someone tell me if this template has a setting to alter the width to narrow (800px). I note on some JA templates that this is an option, but on others its not.

    Hope someone can help.

    Thanks

    You could adjust it in your template.css file but it would require a lot of work getting everything sized down to suit.

    Anyway… fewer and fewer people are using 800×600 res and more and more are using higher res 1400px+. An 800 wide site would look tiny on these screens. I’d recommend you leave it as is which is optimised for 1024px which is the most popular size still.

    Joomlart templates used to have functionality built in which allowed the site owner to set the width – 1024 or 800 or fluid.

    It’s disappointing to see these tools removed even as options.

    I agree. While I wouldn’t personally go as low as 800px the feature to set a width in px was handy. I haven’t seen that in a template in ages though.

    lol Jonatha… I’ve given you the ONLY fix.

    Start on line 679 of template.css…

    .main {
    background:transparent url(../images/mainwrap-bg.gif) repeat-y scroll center top;
    margin:0 auto;
    width:980px;
    }

    …then be prepared for a lot of adjusting of column widths etc. , again, all controlled in the CSS
