hi!

I have installed JA Travel Quickstart but I only get a blank page when i try to preview site.

    What went wrong?

    Could you please help me?
It is very important that I have the quickstart installed even with all the images and articles like the demo in order to alter it and build the new site.

    Please please help me.

    Hi

Your site is completely empty, no articles, i had also problems during my attempts to install the new Jat3 Framework plugin … ( Unable to write entry )

Try to check the chmod on your folders must be 775 for folders and 644 for files and ask to your hosting provider the better configuration for your folder to install a joomla site.

    Regards

I have changed everything to 777. Will that work for you?

Perhaps you’re forgetting one important thing, you’re not the only one in this forum. Next time remember this little detail

I have already checked your site and asked you to contact your hosting provider to make your folders joomla compatible

we cannot check your hosting server too, all you needs is in the post number 2 of this thread. Report them the error in red.

and right after your sooooo quick reply… I asked you to give me some more details on what exactly I should ask for and told you that I changed everything to 777…

one more little detail that you probably ignore.

When I was signing up you told me that there was support.
I expect from you to respect me instead of getting upset with me and talking to me like I am a little baby.

perhaps it has something to do with the fact that your throwing temper tantrum that your questions are not being answered every 5 minutes. Folks to go home after their “shift’, folks do take days off, you WERE asked to contact your host and get perms reset which you’ve failed to do by your own admission… setting things to 777 is stupid as it opens you up to a world of vulnerabilities…He told you exactly what to ask your host…
please reset all permissions to 755 for folders and 644 for files, also my sure I have no ownership issues as things are not working in joomla”
If they don’t know how to do that or what that means, then they are fail and you should find another host.

I have taken a look and taken the liberty of installing the latest JAT3 plugin for you. If you now look at your site you will see the travel template is now visible.

I am guessing by the version of Joomla you have installed that you did this with a one click install provided by your host. If that is the case then you really should consider removing that install and doing it the correct way. IMHO, these one click installs are not always a good idea. In your case the version you have installed is a few behind the latest Joomla release and has a lot of known bugs some of which are security related.

As this is a new site I think your best bet would be to remove that install and start again using the JA quickstart. If you do that you will have a complete setup as per the JA demo for you to start from. It really is a time saver.

Oh, and it appears the forum is not working quite as it should as my posts keep appearing in the thread in the wrong order. I will try and get that investigated. My post below was posted before this one.

    thanks Phill!

You are the first polite person that replies to me!!!

I will try to install again Joomla Although the initial installation was done through the JA Quickstart.

I will contact you again if I come up with more problems.

    Regards, and thanks again.
