March 6, 2012 at 3:42 pm #174675I have a coded order of images on the slide show that goes
<h3>Description image</h3>
<p>Subtitle</p><h3>Description Image</h3>
<p>Subtitle</p>etc..
My problem is that I want to follow the sequence of images so I did the setup
Source: From image folder
Sort Type: Time
Sort Order: DescendingIt doesn’t matter what I do the order is “stubborn” nothing changes.
I tried to clean cache, Global Cache, Use Cache and don’t use cache on the moduleIs there a way to force the images to show in a particular way? I tried to verify the site in other computers and there is no change of order in the slideshow. My mock site is at http://cjyc.netgifted.com/
I am using Joomla 1.5 since I need Joomfish on my siteThanks for your input

The site is now live at http://paradoxproject.ca and I tried everything that I can think of to change the slide order on the module to the one I have on the code but nothing happens
Thanks a lot:((

March 12, 2012 at 7:12 pm #443252This might sound like a really stupid idea but you could give it a go.
There is no reason apart from the fact that the images came with names sl-1.jpg to use them.
You can try naming the images a.jpg, b.jpg, c.jpg and then sort type – name, sort order – ascending. Got to be worth a try on your test system?

March 12, 2012 at 7:14 pm #443254Hello,
An easy way to fix this is to set the order in JA Slideshow module settings and then set the image names in a way that they can be sorted like you want them, for instance sl-01 sl-02 sl-03 etc.
Please let me know if that helps you.
Regards

March 12, 2012 at 7:21 pm #443256I just tried it, I renamed all the picture files and replaced the new names on the code, I have the same result…crap I must have failed something…
My code now is
<h3>Bienvenue au CJYC - Montréal</h3>
<p>Conference Jeunesse</p><h3>Planetshakers</h3>
<p>Conference Jeunesse 18-20 Mai 2012</p><h3>Gospel Connexion</h3>
<p>Conference Jeunesse 18-20 Mai 2012</p><h3>Différent</h3>
<p>Conference Jeunesse 18-20 Mai 2012</p><h3>Generation Church</h3>
<p>Conference Jeunesse 18-20 Mai 2012</p><h3>Glyn Barrett</h3>
<p>Conference Jeunesse 18-20 Mai 2012</p><h3>Projet Acoustique</h3>
<p>Conference Jeunesse 18-20 Mai 2012</p><h3>Rapture Ruckus</h3>
<p>Conference Jeunesse 18-20 Mai 2012</p><h3>Tabitha</h3>
<p>Conference Jeunesse 18-20 Mai 2012</p><h3>D.J. Gabo</h3>
<p>Conference Jeunesse 18-20 Mai 2012</p>
What am I missing? The slide slide-00.jpg should show as #1 but instead I have slide-9.jpg showing first I checked the files and compared the names
