January 6, 2009 at 5:20 am #136769I love the JA Trona template and am busy working on it for my website. I manged to download it, and get it going!
I wish to change/edit the template and it is “unwriteable” when I access it in the template admin area. I want to change the name and logo etc.
How to I make it writeable?
Many thanks, this a fabulous template and very helpful forum, I am so grateful for all the tips, tricks and helpful advice in this forum – I am very excited to be here.
Kind regards
Cheers, Sandy:Dmihirc Friendmihirc

January 6, 2009 at 5:47 am #284830Hello,
This seems to be a file permission error. Try accessing your FTP / Cpanel and changing the file permissions.
Normally if you want to change the logo, you need to replace the logo file which is in gif format. Open the ftp / use JoomXplorer, go to templates/ja_trona/images – in which you will find the logo.gif file.
Hope this helps,
Regards,

January 6, 2009 at 7:04 am #284834Many thanks for such a prompt and courteous reply. Your solution was fine.
I purchased a template from another company a few weeks ago and all I can say is that your tutorials, friendly board and amazing service makes me realise I should have come to you first as it seems joomlart covers it all!
Never mind, it’s all experience. Thank you so much. It’s amazing what a little help and advice can do and I think some people forget what it’s like to be at the beginning – I know this from my teaching to always put myself in the student’s shoes!
I am learning fast and it’s a wonderful feeling to have some support out there.
I will recommend joomlart to everyone – there are a lot of artists out there wanting websites and they wish to be creative with their sites.
I wish all the templates came with the built in shop! Anyway, back to work, I am very excited at an idea of how to use the moving pictures for combining choices of colour swatches and art patterns! Also the different colour template option is going to set some great artistic moods. The more I think about it, the more excited I am! Some long nights ahead…..
Thanks again,
Sandy Robertsonmihirc Friendmihirc
