August 9, 2011 at 7:10 am #405054Hi
Twitter have a limited for API using by 3rd party. Check at: https://dev.twitter.com/docs/rate-limiting
Your error should be by reached limit.
I suggest you should to use caching for twitter module to prevent fetch tweet to much, specially on site have much visitors.
Thank you

Viet Vu</blockquote>I shouldn’t have a cache problem. I have cache set to 5, don’t tweet heavily and tweet limit to show is only 8. Think it’s something else. Any other ideas? Thanks

August 9, 2011 at 12:00 pm #405121sjisaacs, please disable all caching and let us know what error shows up.
Also, do let us know which hosting provide you are using as some hosting
providers prevent external HTTP requests.sjisaacs Friendsjisaacs

It’s not the hosting, JATwitter has been working fine for weeks and this is a known Joomla! problem. Need a workaround.jooservices Friendjooservices

August 10, 2011 at 2:02 am #405258Hi there
In my experience i think we don’t have much thing to do with this issue. Because
– As my above post, twitter have limited request from 3rd party using their API. So, it would be by somehow, your site send request too much percent hour. You can try by disable your twitter for a day and turn it back at next day or try to use another API Code
– Network lagging. Your request to twitter be dropped by network lagging or their server under trouble.
– Caching. By some un-luck Joomla cached twitter when have error -> and keep display error until cache purged. So please try to clear cache. For another test, you can try our module in localhost and see if still wrong.
Thank you

August 14, 2011 at 12:47 am #406157Hi sjisaacs,
I have researched the known issue you refer to above and find it is only related to the 1.5 Joomla.
I was under the impression you have updated to 1.6.
Am I mistaken?
Please advise and also read Viet Vu’s reply to you. Thanks!I continued to search and found this:
Follow the following steps to remove it
Extensions –> Module Manager –> Administrator –> JCE Latest News Module –> Delete (or disable).
It is said this gets rid of the error message, please advise. -
