I tried to use Ja Utahia on my Joomla web site. I wanted the light blue color scheme. Following the instructions I edited the template and changed the color from hot to default. However, when I looked at the site it was still the hot color scheme. I found one place in the instructions in the template that said to change the color to use the blue. It still shows up as pink. Am I doing something wrong? I have a site that is devoted to Democratic politics and the light blue color would work great with the dark blue and white graphics I have for the site.
March 28, 2007 at 5:06 am #216659clear your cache, clear you cookies. Clear joomla’s cache (in backend) if you have cache enabled. Restart your Internet Explorer og Firefox – I’m sure that will help you out…
(not all steps above is neccessary, but hey – they you have cleaned out & you’re ready to go !)…

March 28, 2007 at 6:59 am #216668It might also be that for some weird reason you are editing the wrong lines of code ( unless you are perfectly sure about which lines you are editing? )
Clearing cache might also be a good help, though I feel that in most cases hitting CTRL + F5 or CTRL + R does the trick of “clearing” stuff in my browsers.
Please post a URL or your code for letting us assist you better. Thanks

The problem finally solved itself. I suspect it was something that happened at the hosting service company. I had tried all the things everyone suggested. I checked the whole template file to make sure there was no other place to change the color. I checked the .css file. I even ran a check on the .php to make sure it was valid. I did not have cacheing turned on at the server. The hosting service recommends not using it. I repeatedly cheared the browser and everything. I had even tried to see what would happen if I made a change in another template and the changes showed up immediately. Finally, in desperation I decided to try using a different browser. I had no reason to think it would do anything. But when I viewed the web site using Opera instead of Firefox the template was blue. I went back to Firefox and now it is blue. I don’t understand it, but it works now.

March 31, 2007 at 2:12 am #216903I think it is a cache problem, so when cache is cleared, the problem is solved.
Thread now marked as Solved (Oh, I really like this job :p )
