December 27, 2008 at 11:09 pm #284144You dont have to upload the source files.
The source files are psd files (photoshop) JA used to create the images of the templates. You can use them if you want to change any of the included pictures or design and change them to your liking.
These files are for customising only and are not needed on your website.

December 28, 2008 at 4:47 pm #284175If you are reffering to the filler data in the template you can install that when you use the quickstart package. While going through the install processes you will see a section that asks “Do you want to install demo data” choose Yes, and it will insert everything into your database. Now if you already have a site up and want to enter the demo data in you might be able to find the .sql some where in the quickstart file package but that’s just a guess.

Yes, guilty as charged. My partner asked the wrong question, so I corrected it.

So just to confirm. If I want the demo content included in the install, I should have installed the quickstart zip file instead of the actual template zip file?

December 28, 2008 at 5:01 pm #284181Yes, but if you already have a running website where you only want to change your template then this is not recommended, as you loose what you have already.
If you want to install a new website, i would always recommend using the quickstart, as it installs joomla + template + all templates modules + all the needed configuration for the template.
After installing quickstart you will have an exact copy of the demo website.
With the quickstart (or any new joomla install) you can select to install sample data.1 user says Thank You to bennitos for this useful post

So it no longer has content on there since I recently deleted everything to start from scratch. So I will install the quickstart zip file, and go from there. Thanks.:)
