Hi,
I am using the following code to create the spotlight module in JA Villadi
<script type=”text/javascript”>
od_displayImage(‘your-image-ID’, ‘full-path-to-your-image-(without-the-dot-png-extension)’, width, height, ”, ”);
</script>Now what code do I need to put in (and exactly where) if I wanted to hyperlink the image?
Thanks in advance

April 13, 2007 at 5:56 am #217858Out of curiosity, why would you want to use javascript to show an image there??? Why don’t you just create a new module, add an image and a hyperlink to the image from there??
April 13, 2007 at 6:13 am #217861Hi Erik,
Good question. I know I could have done that but then I read the template guide that came with the JA Villadi template…and it said the following
Spotlight Modules
To set up 3 eye-catching modules with transparent images compatible with all browsers (including IE6 – The PNG Destroyer) in spotlight area, you have to put this into your modules’ content<script type=”text/javascript”>
od_displayImage(‘your-image-ID’, ‘full-path-to-your-image-(without-the-dot-png-extension)’, width, height, ”, ”);
</script>and this was quiet true….when i inserted the images directly into modules (without the above mentioned script), IE showed it all weird (transparency was removed)…..when I used the above script, the image showed up nicely (blends with the background) in IE as well as firefox
April 13, 2007 at 6:35 am #217865found the solution…just needed to add <a href=”[link here]”> before <script type=”text/javascript”>

April 13, 2007 at 6:46 am #217868Ok, well, guess I haven’t read the user guide too thorough then. LOL
Yes, you only need to add the a href. Perhaps should have mentioned that in my post but wasn’t sure why you used this. I see now that it is related to the image transparency. Well done!

May 24, 2007 at 5:39 am #220730I am trying to get ja_villadi and I would like to get the Spotlight modules setup.
The user guide reads:
<script type=”text/javascript”>
od_displayImage(‘plain_right’, ‘http://www.joomlart.com/template/ja_villadi/images/stories/demo/plain_right’, 200, 114, ”, ”);
</script>I do this, but direct it to my image and It still won’t display. It removes the “<script>” tags.
Thanks,
