Hi,

JA VM Products is an AMAZING extension that has a great look and a very useful functionality. However it comes with a flaw as well.
Especially in JA Hawkstore template, JA VM Products presents many products and since it scales all images using HTML, it lowers the YSlow score to F in that specific category. For us struggling to make the page load a bit faster, this is a big pain.
There are many other of JA’s great extension that use a resized folder and automatically resize the pictures they use, like JA Slideshow for example. Couldn’t we use the same principal and resize those pictures, instead of scaling them using HTML?

Hi 7of9,

Please try to disable / remove any un-used content or extensions in your site, it will help much on performance. Also consider to use images with smaller size which displays in this VM Products module

Hi Saguaros,

Thanks for the tip. I already have disabled extensions I do not use, like K2. However the extension in question does the resizing automatically. I only ask if instead of resizing from HTML, you could do it like JA Slideshow does.
