Does JAVoice 1.7 install on 2.5 sites? This is the best tool out there for feedback and I am upgrdaing my 1.5 sites to 2.5.

Why is there only download packages for J1.5 and J1.7? Can I just grab an install the version for J1.7?

Hi henrik1782,

JA Voice for J1.7 can run for joomla 2.5 as normal. We do not yet release JA Voice for joomla 2.5 officially but i think it works fine on it.

It very long time since you have not released any new feature update for this extension so when you releasing new version of this extension with new features because i have purchase JAEC membership only for this extension & i think it is waste because i have not seen any any update in this extension & my subscription also expired next month.
So please tell us the date for new version released

I too purchased the JAEC membership for this component only. I have been unsuccessful in getting the component to function normally in J2.5. It created so many complaints that I removed it!

Is there a new (J2.5) version on the way…? I’m reluctant to invest any more money!

Hi MillerTyme,

If you can summarize the issues you are facing with the JA Voice on 2.5, i can ask the team to work on the same and help you out. Joomla 1.7 version should run normal on Joomla 2.5 too, as nothing much have changed.

The next major upgrade for our extensions will be after the release of Joomla 3.0, though full compatibility will 3.x will be with the stable release of Joomla! 3.5 which would be long term release like the current 2.5

Hi:

I also purchased JAC for JA Voice. It is incredible these guys in one calendar year (equivalent to 3 web years) have NOT make upgrades to it! So they tell to use version developed for J 1.7 with J2.5. A complete waste of time and money.

My subscription ends in September will not renew it. JA among worst clubs I have ever joined. Go ahead CLOSE thread as you have done EVERY TIME someone ask for / about JA Voice updates.

And you say now to wait for an ‘update’ that will be release for J 3.0? which is not a LT and is not a mandatory Joomla upgrade? What you guys are drinking?

I did not receive any update on this from any of you. Unless the problems / bugs faced by users are put forward, they cannot be worked upon or fixed.

I do not see any base in the above allegations, as said, we are committed to fix bugs originating from our component.
@yedels, yes for now we do not intend to add any new feature to JA Voice, if you have any interesting feature you would wish to see in JA Voice, please put forward the same and we will think about it.
@latino07 1.7 and 2.5 are progressive versions and not much changes between them. Let us know if there are bugs, we will fix them. No bug reports can mean only two things… either the software is no longer being used or it works seamlessly.

I really dont see the point of the outburst above, update will be released if there are bug reports. Major version change will happen only when we release version for Joomla 3.0 or 3.5.
