the demo site has a score of 46 on google page insight for mobile and the same problems including:

Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content
Leverage browser caching
Minify CSS
Minify JavaScript
Reduce server response time

my site is facing the same issues.
Both my hosting company and joomla.org forum have stated that the problem lies with the template

i would appreciate an actual fix

Hello – can you provide us with an update for solution for the speed issue – recently Google announced that speed of the site would play an impact in search rankings.
