    Hello everyone,

I have purchased JA Wall to give that template a try. To be honest, I wasn’t familiar with Joomlart before this template. Ja Wall demo page looked very attractive and dynamic comparing other templates out there for Joomla. However, when I start digging into setup and customizing part, things get really complicated since there is no documentation, typography or a guide. I’ll have a couple of suggestions to make JA Wall more simple for users:

    1) Need more stable bug free module positions (For example sometimes mainav module position disappears when you remove couple of modules from the quickstart demo) or when you install it without quickstart, you can’t easily figure out how to build content without a guide. Hopefully you have this forum to check things out but it’s not enough.
    2) I know you are working on it but we Need a documentation guide for both Joomla and K2 users as soon as possible. (From the scratch!) For example: Explain how to insert first menu item, articles, where to postion them, which modules to use .. etc. You should be able to show your users clearly how to use your template before you release. Right now we have paid for your product, and at the moment, we “users” work for you with our feedback to make your product better, and it is not a good feeling for customers to pay for something not completed.
    3) I suggest you add a simple logo module that people can add their logos faster. Inserting them by html is old fashion.

Right now these are my opinions about JA Wall. It’s a great looking template but still need some adjustments to fix minor bugs and to make it more stable. And need a video/picture/text guide asap plz!

Some documentation would help a lot, however with this forum and a lot of trial and error you will get there 🙂

This is our wall so far: http://airsoftwall.com/

All news related to the airsoft sport! We are now working on the Feedgator RSS feeds imports. The soclal plugin works just fine.
Would love to see Flickr and Vimeo support though!

gjrweb – Did you have any issues getting the images to load for your twitter, when i set my own up it has th text from the tweet but not the image; also – what facebook id did you use – is it the name following the facebook url string – so http://facebook.com/YOURNAME – is YOURNAME THE ID?

    1. Twitter images are saved on our own server (put that option to yes). This way we never had problem with twitter images. Above all the wall loads a lot faster!

    2. This is how to get and test the Facebook ID.

First get the Facebook ID from this URL:

    https://graph.facebook.com/Airsoft2daycom

(Airsoft2daycom is the example facebook name. This can be usernames or page names)

Second check if the id obtained is valid via this URL:

    https://www.facebook.com/feeds/page.php?id=132723723452178&format=json

(132723723452178 is the example Facebook ID)

You are awesome, thanks a lot – also, there is a facebook widget for commenting on articles – i have tried finding it everywhere and I cant find it, are you using it or do you have any idea of how to get rid of it?

We do use it, so it’s enabled. It’s no plugin, so i guess you need to remove it manually from the article view.
