hi everyone, hope you can help me.
I recently launched a new website using the JA Wall template (Retro theme). The web address is portugaltravelguide.com.
I’m a novice and encountering some teething problems, as everyone does.
For instance, when I try posting an article to my Facebook page some text appears describing Joomla’s templates. How can I fix this? Please see image…
Secondly, I’d like to post articles exclusively to appear on the site’s top menu sections, namely Portugal Travel News, Pillow Talk, Portugal on your Palate, Pot-pourri and Pixel Portugal but I can’t work out how to do it. I did manage it by tagging them but the articles appeared differently to the articles on the home-page with no extended class and pop-up preview.
Thirdly, the logo I’ve uploaded temporarily doesn’t appear on mobile devices like iPads and Smartphones. Anyone know why?
Lastly, I managed to synchronise the site with my Facebook page (despite the Joomla messages appearing) but Twitter proved more difficult and I haven’t yet managed to work it out. Any ideas?
A big thank you to everyone for their kind help.
Best regards,
Mark

February 5, 2014 at 5:58 am #521237Hi Mark,
For the first issue:
Please open the menu item and edit the Meta information.For the second issue:
I am not entirely understand, but I think you can try the following steps:
Group all articles shown in the same menu item in a category. Then you can add menu item Category Blog type and select the correct category.I would recommend you create 6 categories that have the same name as menu items (Portugal Travel News, Pillow Talk, Portugal on your Palate, Pot-pourri and Pixel Portugal). For each of these menu items, you should select the correct category.
For the 3rd issue:
In the …/templates/ja_wall/themes/retro/css/theme.css file,
.logo-image h1 a {
background: url(../images/bg-01.png) left top no-repeat;
border-bottom: 0;
color: #FFF
display: block;
height: 93px;
line-height: 50px;
text-indent: -10000em;
width: 110px;
}I see you have overridden logo background here. You can try to replace the image with correct logo file.
For the last issue:
I hope you are using JA Social Feeds plugin. So please check the document, the Twitter configuration might be complicated than other:
