Hi.
I have two questions regarding the top menu:
1: How do I move the top menu to the left side? Is it possible?
2: If there are submenu items then they don’t show up in the top menu. Can this be fixed?Thanks.

December 10, 2006 at 3:48 am #2124311. Change this style in template_css.css (switch left <-> right):
#ja-topnav-wrap {
background: url(../images/topnav-left.gif) top left no-repeat #3F89C3;
height: 29px;
display: block;
padding-left: 30px;
}#ja-topnav {
background: url(../images/topnav-right.gif) top right no-repeat #3F89C3;
float: right;
text-align: right;
height: 29px;
line-height: 29px;
padding: 0 5px;
display: block;
}#ja-topnav ul#mainlevel-nav {
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
list-style: none;
}#ja-topnav ul#mainlevel-nav li {
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
display: inline;
}#ja-topnav ul#mainlevel-nav a {
display: block;
float: right;
padding: 0 12px;
color: #FFFFFF;
text-decoration: none;
text-transform: uppercase;
}#ja-topnav ul#mainlevel-nav a:hover {
}2. No sub menu for top menu, because we support sub menu for mainmenu already.

January 22, 2007 at 7:15 pm #213432How can I use the top menu as the main nav. menu? I tried to switch left <-> right following khanh’s instructions but it did not worked, the images for the top bar where all messed up.
By the way, has anyone been successful in creating the top menu with submenues? i.e. using transmenu for the top menu and removing the vertical main menu. Please advice.
January 23, 2007 at 7:58 am #213447Look at this thread which is at the bottom of the list in JA_Antares forum.
http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/how-to-remove-main-menu-set-banner-100/
I also want to do the same. I used the method described in that thread and it was successful. But I also had to delete another block of code which was same with the described one. Now I did this right left and it worked fine. In the other thread it was said that transmenu and highligh can work I but didn’t try it. Let us know if you try it:) But I can use split menu without knowing how:) I used to have submenus of the main menu, now I use top menu and unpublished the main menu but if I link a topmenu item to the same page with the parent menu item in main menu, the submenu is displayed as a split menu. Of course you need to change the menustyle in index.php to split menu for that.
I would also like to have a nice solution for the highlight, I need to check the other thread in detail…

January 24, 2007 at 3:40 am #213538Hi all,
This template was originally designed with vertical menu system. To change to horizontal menu, you need do many hack and customization which we are afraid that we cannot provide. I suggest that you should go to joomlancers.com to get a freelancer to help you. -
