I’m using JA_Contentslide to display some of my favourite articles that I’ve created individual articles for. As a result JA_Contentslide displays a series of thumbnails of the respective photo/articles.

When I first published the module I only had 4 articles and these all worked correctly in that the thumbnnails displayed and also you could click on either the title or the thumbnail to view the actual article itself.

However I’ve now added 7 more photos and now am experiencing two problems.

The first problem is that whilst I can get the title to be clickable the thumbnail isn’t. As a result I have a mixture of thumbnails in the module some of which are clickable, some of which are not.

The second problem is that the original 4 thumbnails always load but the 7 new others sometimes load and sometimes don’t. This seems to happen totally at random and is very annoying.

Anyone know how to fix these problems

Well I’ve managed to solve these by replacing the JA_Contentslide module that came with the JA_Opal template with the new one you’ve just uploaded for JA_Sulphur as per this thread http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/ja-contentslide-module-is-not-working-properly-at-your-demo/

Gotta say that wouldn’t it be a good idea to update ALL templates that use this module AND to announce it somewhere so that we don’t go chasing around trying to work out which template has the most up to date version of the module we are using?

Anyway, whilst this new version appears to have solved the two problems I listed above it has also introduced another.

Underneath each ‘slide’ it now says “Read More Hits….” which just looks rubbish and no matter what settings I change both in the module and in the article parameters I can’t get this to dissapear and this didn’t happen in the ‘old’ module.

Any ideas as it really looks bad as it is?

I was having a problem with my Content Slider also. I just downloaded the new version from the JA_Sulfur template, installed it, and it’s working. I’m not getting the “Read More Hits….” on mine. I set my “Number Element” setting to be less than the number of articles I have and the scroll is now working.
