    See sample at: http://74.53.228.210/~p3/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=89&Itemid=84

I have a couple sites using zeolite and sulfur that work perfectly, but with ja_drimia I get no description regardless of the settings. I have attached a pic of the setting.

To get the slideshow to drimia I tarred the version off sulfur and ftp then untar onto drimia.

I’m wondering if there is some javascript, etc which was not part of the base drimia template that is missing, or other?

Setting images at: http://www.dottedi.biz/images/diagnostics/ja_drimia_mod_slideshow1.jpg and http://www.dottedi.biz/images/diagnostics/ja_drimia_mod_slideshow2.jpg

    Hi bobmeetin

It is so hard to debug this issue because i could not see full parameters in the module at your image.

You should submit a ticket, send us your admin account so that they could have a closer look on the issue

I tried attaching both images several times but the forum application seemed to prevent the second from showing. Here are links to images for both:

    http://www.dottedi.biz/images/diagnostics/slideshow2.jpg

If I “view source” and look at the page, there is no description information. If you need me to write out the parameters I will do that. I feel like there was a change in javascript, mootools, etc in the templates and the new one works, but I don’t know enough about this. Thx.

I wrote this up in detail: mod_jaslideshow2

The relevant info on how it’s implemented: http://74.53.228.210/~p3/index.php?o…d=89&Itemid=84

I swapped the locations for the banner and user1, user2, and user8 (custom) because client wanted the slideshow at the top and slwi under primary content. This made no difference.

    Module parameters:

Image folder: images/ferraris (also tried images/ferraris/ – images 520×260 in size)
Start Item: 0 (no difference if tried 1)
    Sort Type: Name
Sort Order: Random (no difference if tried Ascending)
    Main Item width: 520
    Main Item height: 275
Show Description: Description only (no difference with other options)
Show Description when: Always (no difference with other options)
    Readmore Text: Readmore
    Animation Duration: 1000
    Animation Type: Moving
    Effect: Bouncing
Container Width: Fit to main page
    Navigation: No
    Thumbnail width: 60
    Thumbnail height: 60
    Thumbnail spacing: 3:3
    Number of thumbnails: 3
    Control buttons: Yes
    Auto play: Yes
    Interval: 5000
    Thumbnail opacity: 0.8
    Description background opacity: 0
    Next/Prev images opacity: 0.4
    Description for each item:

<p>Augue neque rutrum elit vitae nec in pretium et faucibus In</p>

<p>Vestibulum mauris ut sed laoreet Nulla et molestie nisl. Ridiculus eu id pretium</p>

<p>Augue turpis sem Suspendisse quis Vivamus nulla consequat Vestibulum magna Ut.</p>

    ————————————

The ja_slideshow2 module was taken from sulfur. I also compared the mootools.js files under system on both sites and they are identical. Except for swapping the images I grabbed the same content as in sulfur and adjusted for having only 3 items.

    ————————————

If I view source in Sulfur I see the description lines:

    <div class=”ja-slide-descs”>
<div class=”ja-slide-desc”><p>Augue turpis sem Suspendisse quis Vivamus nulla consequat Vestibulum magna Ut.</p></div>
    </div>

In my example <div class=”ja-slide-descs”></div> and the content divs are absent.

    ————————————-

Is there anything peculiar to the slideshow position name that is a contingency to make this work?

You can look at something 100 times and not see the problem. I backtracked, unzipped the ja_sulfur quickstart template, located the mysql file for the demo content, opened it up in “v.i.” and located the text for the query that added the sample module. Then I copied it, changed the ID so that it was not a duplicate, and via command line sql inserted it in the database for a_drimia.

I made sure there were test images in the path, located it in ‘debug’ position and enabled it. It was ugly, but there was text on some of the images that matched.

Back to live, In the area I had been applying the path, so I removed the path part – this did not help, might have been part of the problem, but did not help.

Some more eyeballing landed me in “Description background opacity”. In the input field I had “0.” which is mathematically equivalent to “0”. The program didn’t see it that way. Once I removed the period/dot it started working.

That simple dot cost me close to 2 days’ time.

<p>Augue neque rutrum elit vitae nec in pretium et faucibus In</p>

<p>Vestibulum mauris ut sed laoreet Nulla et molestie nisl. Ridiculus eu id pretium</p>
