so, today i installed the ja_newspro module and tried to make some changes to the ‘nex’ profile on the Options Tab > Profile tab. It did not save, i.e., retrned to the previous settings when I hit Save or Save and Close and opened the module again.

I then tried to Clone a profile and see I could mess with that instead, it gave me a prompt for ‘name’ for th profile. But then immediately after that it gave me an ‘underfined’ window and did not create a copied out profile.

1. Can someone help me give ideas here what to do?
2. Can someone help me with where is the profile information stored in the MYSQL database? I’m pretty good at playing with the database directly, so I would appreciate if a pointer is provided.

Any urgent help is greatly and vastly appreciated.

Hi Venkat,

Is this JA News Pro module up-to-date? I try to check its version with JA Extension Manager component but it notices errors. If possible, you can try to re-install this JAEM component again and update JA News Pro to latest version.

Remember to take a BACKUP of your site first before making changes.

a) I have 2.5.7 installed – I just verified again.
b) Somehow my JA Extensions Manager is not getting a way to download the updates, although the Dashboard is able to recognize there is an update. When I tried to traverse the path below – it says ‘no permissions’

c) When I finally found 2.5.9 in JA, it was under JAEC – I only have JATC membership, so that precludes me from getting this update?

Please let me know to further decide my next steps. I am not very inclined to take a new JAEC membership at this point, because the modules are included with the templates that I download because of JATC membership. If future versions of the included modules is not included in JATC, I would like to know.
