Hi Cameron
that’s a very generic type of error, best you post a live site url, then we can go there and use a few external tools like firebug to have a look while it’s working

The domain is http://www.pakenhamcfa.org.au
Looking at the code I can’t see where you’re pulling the feed from, but I’d check that the content is on the site you’re linked to. The rss plugin etc is all active etc
If you wish to PM me and give me the feed only info I’ll run it up in my Norite and see if it’s working with the template. Other than that you may have to send a support request to JA, as they will need admin access etc to check all your internal settings. Sorry I couldn’t help more today
ShannonMay 20, 2010 at 6:15 am #344083The feed is http://osom.cfa.vic.gov.au/public/osom/IN_COMING.rss
Everything is active, If I change templates its fine, JA_Norite it doesn’t work

I get the feed displaying fine in norite. I have used the Feed Display module supplied in Norite and set it to user 1 position works fine for me.
I don’t know what you are using to pull the feed or where your placing the output. I’m wondering if you are setting the feed to display vertically in a narrow horizontal space such as the breadcrumbs position; it may spit as it cannot display in a narrow horizontal area? Anyway I’ve proven this feed displays in Norite using the method I did.

May 20, 2010 at 11:06 pm #344186c_lewien;179247It’s in user12 position, I’ve also tried user1 with no luck.
Hello again
I have changed my feed position to 12 as you have and it works fine there. I’ve attached the screenshots. I’m wondering if the mod_feed module is corrupt or there is a plugin needed you may have turned off? Please check if you have the plugin system- Rpxnow on maybe search- feeds as well they’re the only two I could imagine has any thing to do with this module maybe.
You could bypass that feed and get any of the RSS feed extensions from the JED here http://extensions.joomla.org/search?q=RSS+feed. It would probably give you more flexibility in layout etc and save us banging our heads for ages trying to resolve this one 🙂
I hope I’ve been helpful

May 23, 2010 at 10:46 am #344410Hi All,
I redid the website on a different server which the RSS worked. Soon as I transfered it to the other hosting which it needs to be on it froze on the information it gathered while it was on the other server.
Any ideas?
Cam

Hi Cam
Looks like you’ll need to ask your host for support on this one. Only they know what they allow and do not allow etc. Could be a simple javascript block or they may not enable some important component access. It’s so hard to troubleshootI hope you solve it and let us know what the problem actually was.
Cheers Shannon

May 31, 2010 at 3:21 pm #345399Dear Cam!
You try to check folder permission and check setting of the host: does the host support CURL function and XML parse ? and pls give me the detail account information via submiting a ticket, we’ll check it more detail
Thanks
