Hello!
I am just starting to play around with ja_sanidine, and am running into a couple questions that I cant seem to figure out on my own.
First off, in the demo there is the slideshow-type thing on the first page. I assumed that was the ‘mod_jaslideshow’ that is in my modules folder, but it does not show up in the modules list in the admin panel. How do I enable this and put it on the front page?
Secondly, whenever I add a menu item (Im trying to add one to the main menu), the URL of the item doesnt work. Instead of linking to “http://www.iongaming.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=section&id=5”, it links to “http://www.iongaming.net/index.php/ps3” (the section name is PS3).
My site (if you havent guessed) is http://www.iongaming.net, you can view the problem there.
Thank you in advance for any and all help 😀

February 2, 2009 at 9:35 am #289198Hi, for the first issue, did you select view all modules in the bottom dropdown menu? By default, menu manager only show 20 modules..
For your second issue, you have the search engine friendly url enabled and hence, the url consists of the article / section / category name. You can disable that in your Global configuration settings.

Ah… Thank you very much for the answer to the second problem, and actually I sort of ghetto fixed the first problem. I originally had Joomla 1.5.9 installed, and just installed this package over top of it. After a couple hours of tinkering I decided to delete everything and start fresh, but install using the included installation files.
😀

Can you clarify this just a bit?
In the address bar the page shows http://www.mysite.com/joomla/section/category.html that does not work for the slideshow.
I have tried many different combinations. What do I need to do to the URL to make it clickable in the slideshow?
This is what I have now to go straight to the category, no article:
Description of Photo
Not working.
Eventually this link will may go to a photo album that will not be part of my Joomla install but for now I just want to go to categories.
Thanks for any help.
