I have recently decided to migrate all of my clients over to Joomla based websites. One of my clients very much liked the look of the JA_Narine template with the JA_Slideshow. Great I said – lets get it up and running in 1.5. The site is now complete and content is sitting nicely in the the template. I configured the slideshow to show a series of images to replace to the old ones.

My client is now going mad because geuss what the slideshow is not working. On the frontpage all is well and the images slide through seemlessly – however when you go to any other page the slideshow falls down and stays on the very first image and the slideshow is frozen!!

I run a professional web development agency in the UK and I have built up a reputable business over the last 5 yrs; Im sorry but I have to have a gripe here about the way in which you are releasing templates knowing they have massive errors and bugs in them – this is somewhat out of order. I have now uninstalled the Slideshow only to find out that I can not reinstall it in 1.5 Legacy mode – and I can find no documentation on how to resolve this issue. As a pro developer I have a responsibility to my clients and this is not good.

Please can anyone here help me resolve this issue; don’t get me wrong – I love Joomla for its simplicity and smooth backend; and your templates are a dream – but that is no good to me or my clients if they are full of bugs!!!

Please could someone help me out here please or poiint me in the right direction.

like i say i have removed the JA_Slideshow and need to know how to reinstall it – and when it is installed how to fix the problem of it continually freezing up.

here is a screenshot of what i am getting when trying to reinstall the JA_Slideshow back into Nerine – not sure why this is happening because I have just tried install another component (guestbook) and the same thing happens?

I have posted a similar problem using the slide show as it freeze on the first image and does not move into the rest of the images.

Has anyone on this forum know what the answer to this:confused:

heres’ a solution

I gave up on the slideshow with the template. It only works on the main page of a site.

I use the free version of this one instead, its highly customizable and can be resized to fit.
