November 18, 2011 at 12:47 pm #170826Hi,
I am developing a site with SSL, Joomla 1.7.3 and JA_Social: https://www.centrumvoorurologie.nl/cvu17
I want to enable JA-Socials retweet buttons for Twitter and Google, like here on a test-site without SSL: http://www.e-sail.nl/cvu17
The retweet-buttons (the scripts?) prohibit the site to display correctly with SSL. The SSL-error-message is that parts of the page are not SSL when the retweet-buttons are enabled…
What is the best work-around to have the retweet-buttons on an SSL-site ?
Thanks for an answer!

October 4, 2013 at 8:22 am #508006Hey guys,
I came back late. In this case, there are 2 steps you can try to follow:
– Redirecting the non-HTTPs users/services access to your SSL website by opening configuration.php file, using this line:
var $live_site = ‘https://www.your-site.com’;
– Referring this document to know how to connect Twitter API using SSL at https://dev.twitter.com/docs/security/using-ssl
Note: Remember to clear JAT3 cache each time after updating the backend settings.
