December 23, 2011 at 7:24 am #430953Hi kwest1216!
In order to do this, use the slider with the content, not a folder.2 users say Thank You to Blaine for this useful post

For example, I need to use it as a partners logo slider, and click on each logo to take you to their site…Thanks,

January 23, 2012 at 9:37 am #434925Hi Blaine…where is the description content field – I can’t see it within the Content Slider module? Should I be sourcing from content, K2 or folder?
Thanks,

January 23, 2012 at 11:23 am #434932Hi matgray87,
I think Blaine has given you the description that is in Slideshow not contentslider.
I asked this question about a month ago as I wanted to link to a different internal url. I don’t think it can be done. :((
Hopefully I’ll be proved wrong! 😀

January 24, 2012 at 5:48 pm #435231It is just meant as example code for how to format the syntax for the linking.
It is not a currently available standard option in the contentslider as of now, but you may use the linking option as a work around by adding to the articles created.janshindrik Friendjanshindrik

February 8, 2012 at 10:30 am #437539I have the same problems too – spent a long time finding out, I thought I was doing something wrong…… Is there any news about this? I want to make a contentslider with logos of our partners and then link their sites directly…… I think it is very annoying that this cannot be done. Hopefully there is another way?
Kind regards,

February 8, 2012 at 10:38 am #437540Try using Image Scroller instead http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/photos-a-images/images-slideshow/image-mootools-slideshow/11978
Choose an image directory, select type of link ‘URL’, and then link the images to a URL in the following way:
“http://URL”|”TOOLTIP”|”IMAGE.jpg” (without the “”, but make sure you use the | separator
Start each image description on a new line.
Cheers,

February 8, 2012 at 11:06 am #437544Thank you Matt,
this works – allthough I find it very disappointing that I have to use a module outside of Joomlart to do this. And though it works, this Image Scroller, I have problems with the quality of the logo’s – but I guess I can work that out – and now when people click on the logo, they disappear from my site – I wanted them to open our partners site omn a new page. But maybe I can work that out too. Thanks anyway for helping me out!
Kind regards,

February 8, 2012 at 11:11 am #437545It is a bit of a shame that joomlart can’t do it…
To open in a new window, there’s an option ‘Target link’ (select New Window).
With regard to the quality of the logos – choose a standard size frame, e.g. 300x200px, and make each logo fit to the best fit within that frame…Cheers,

February 8, 2012 at 1:00 pm #437558Matt, thanks again. Indeed, I overlooked the Target link – a bit too focused, I believe….. Things will work out. But still, this would be a good thing for the Joomlart developers…..

February 9, 2012 at 4:26 am #437637Might I suggest you guys suggest it to them.
From the forum you can make it a “premium user ticket” and select “feature”.
Then just put this suggestion, along with a link tot his thread in there to better explain!
Thanks!

February 9, 2012 at 8:16 am #437656Hi Blaine,
I followed your suggestion. Hopefully I did it right, not so experienced in the ‘Forum’ thing – and honestly too busy with the templates to read all the information about the forum. But it is very useful if you know where to look……Kind regards,
