    Hey guys,
I’m new to Joomla, and to this template, so be gentle.

    take a look at:
    http://dev.solartech.org/

Everything is dandy in FF, but in IE6 the drop down menus look really weird. They appear translucent!

I’ve been banging away on this site for a few days, and I’m not quite sure what’s got IE6 in a bind.

I know “/templates/ja_purity/images/opaque.png” has something to do with all of this, but that seems to be found easily by FF.

    Any Ideas?

I am able to reproduce this issue on my local test site.

    My environment is:
    – WAMP server
    – Joomla 1.5.3
    – JA Purity 1.2.0
    – site renders OK on FF2, IE6 and most of the times on IE7,
    – Several revisions of IE7 have been tried (7.0.5, 7.0.6).
    – No javascript errors are being recorded at all

I see that the solartech.org site quoted above reproduces the issue every time that is being rendered on IE7.
My site (still without of public web address) only experiences this problem on numbered occasions. Fully refreshing (ctrl+f5) the page does not solve it, although closing the tab and reopening it or fully restarting the browser will (most of the times) cause the page to render properly.

Some other users have reported similar experiences (and provided screenshots) on this thread at the official joomla forums,

Please do not hesitate to ask for further details of clarifications if required.

    Thanks in advance
