December 8, 2009 at 9:51 pm #326093I can also enjoy your site in IE7; it seems OK there.
But you can add special code for IE8.
See my post

Maybe again a step forward to final solution.1 user says Thank You to micrantha for this useful post

December 8, 2009 at 11:12 pm #326099I have no idea how to go on.
Homeage looks OK, but Indeed I see in left corner message that page contains errors, in fact quite a list.
f.i in ja_teline_iii/js/ja.ddmod.js, line 373, character 5: ‘_p.id’ is empty???Google Chrome OK, Safari OK……IE crazy?

December 8, 2009 at 11:20 pm #326100that’s what I’m telling you… it seems ok, but errors are still there…
ja.ddmod.js is part of janews2.module in template directory, I think it is script for moving janews2 module up and down. he need to upgrade template on 1.3 version.micrantha Friendmicrantha

http://www.joomlart.com/forums/showpost.php?p=154929&postcount=1
also this line 373 in ja.ddmod.jstienhc from J.O.O.M Staff promises to fix it, but solution not published in that thread.

December 8, 2009 at 11:57 pm #326106One last attempt:
When debugging in Firefox I see 80(!) errors.
I have attached file with report.
Maybe this generates other issues.

December 9, 2009 at 12:06 am #326108Don’t be afraid of 80 errors: many are in the same lines.
Many are in a-tags like < a alt=” ” “>; so incorrect use of “: use them only for beginning and end of text-string.
Many are simple: not closing <p> or not opening </p>.
And before updating to 1.3: first backup your site.December 9, 2009 at 12:08 am #326109<em>@micrantha 156152 wrote:</em><blockquote>I have no idea how to go on.

this look in ddmod al line 373
c += el._p.id + "_" + el._h.getText().trim().substr(0,20) + "_" + i + "_" + (el._h.className.test('hide')?'hide':'show')+",";

December 9, 2009 at 12:19 am #326110Yes, but in my site this same code gives no problem. So I think it gives problems in your site because of many code-errors. Like I wrote above.
You also often use title-attributes like titel=”tekst”text””.
Then there are lines where you open with <p> and close with</div>.
So: it is worth trying the path of first debugging these lines. then see if problem persists.I am closing. Next day I will see if you got succes.
