Why does each copy of the JANewsPro module require a “Source” (aka Category) to be defined in Module Assignment for this Menu Item when the same “Source” is defined in Edit Menu Item > Required settings? If one wishes to use this module many times (for many Categories and SubCategories, it seems one needs to duplicate it. In my case around 50 times! Perhaps I’m missing something but if not this makes life far more complex than Teline II on Joomla 1.5.

Hi timtecsa,

Maybe I am not able to understand exactly what you are talking about but I am not sure when you said “”Source” is defined in Edit Menu Item” , anyway the source that is defined in the module setting is only for it own and that’s not related to the source in the menu setting you said, if i am misunderstanding something here kindly explain your ideal a little bit more details 🙂

Hi Dat, I’m starting testing with the Teline IV template (on Joomla 2.5) by coming from having used the Teline II template (Joomla 1.5) for several years at http://www.globalprintmonitor.com where I use the JANews module on ALL content blog pages. Naturally I tried to do the same with JANewspro but I haven’t been able so far. Hence my confusion 🙂 You can see my efforts so far at http://jatct4j25.globalprintmonitor.info How does one use the JANewspro module across the site in the same way as JANews on Teline II?
