    Hello,

my website based on ja-travel uses the jaslideshow2 module and takes articles by keyword to display the appropriate images. In each article there is a line like this <!– {jaimage main=”images/stories/slideshow/slideshow1.jpg”} –> to select the appropriate image. The description is taken from the article itself.

Now the problem is, that i have to write my articles so that the first line looks ok to be shown in the slideshow. However… it’s not practical as it messes up my articles in a way i don’t want. Basically i want to have the ability to specify the description text independantly of what is in the article. Something like the subtitles in the megamenu. More specifically, i would like to do something like this:
    <!– {jaimage main=”images/stories/slideshow/slideshow1.jpg” desc=”Short description for slides 1″} –>

    Is this possible?

    regards,
    Jeroen

    Hi,

As I understood, you have all your files in the images/stories/slideshow folder. You are using these images in some articles and showing these articles in the JA Slideshow module. But you want to specify some description to each image and do not want to display text from related articles.

For that, you can simply use source as ‘From Image Folder’ in the module. With this you will need to specify the image folder from which images should be displayed and then for each image you can specify description as well as URL. For URL you can use the article link so that the image and description will ultimately take user to the corresponding article.

The syntax for specifying description and link for each image is
    some description
