HI imurillo,

By default, JA Social II template provides several layouts and in the homepage, it’s using ‘Landing‘ layout: http://prntscr.com/9697zo

But this landing layout doesn’t include mainnav block which shows main horizontal menu. Hence, if you want the normal layout: horizontal menu, slideshow, etc…, you can select ‘default‘ layout via template manager section as screenshot above.
