    Hi
New to developing templates using the T3 framework. I was trying to follow the tutorials contained in the link below:

    http://wiki.joomlart.com/wiki/JA_T3_Framework_2/FAQs

However as I am suing ja_t3_blank template for joomla 1.7 I am geting stuck in on the part of the tutorial thats asks me to do the following:
“Create template file and folder structure -To override the basic design of the core framework, you will need to have a correct file and folder structure. To do that, you can simply copy the files and folders from the ja_t3_blank into the ja_purity_iii folder as follows”

For starters the file structure for ja_t3_blank for joomla 1.7 is different to that described above. My file structure is as follows:

whereas if you check the template file structure on that wiki/tutorial is as follows:

I cannot find on the core files>themes>theme-variation file. Which file should I copy in its place as the Ja_t3_blank core file does not have the theme-variation file it contains default-rtl, more_contrast, more_contrast blue, more_contrast red? Is there an updated version of the FAQ for the t3 framework in which one can follow to create a new template.

    Regards

you can just copy all the folders inside /core/themes/ to your new template folder. the FAQ maybe outdated, but the concept is still same; just copy all the files & folders from ja_t3_blank and paste it in your template folder.
