October 12, 2010 at 3:38 am #155186JA_Droid 1.2.2
After template installation I get:
Missing jat3 framework plugin
When I publish the JAT3 plugin JA T3 Framework 1.1.8 I get:Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘)’, expecting ‘(‘ in /home/frien33/public_html/joomla/plugins/system/jat3/core/common.php on line 224
Website and adminitrator pages return this error until I update the database plugins table via SQL to unpublish this module.
Joomla 1.5.21 Browser Mozilla Firefox 3.6.10 PHP 5.2.14 Apache 1.3.42 MySql 5.1.48
Any help please?

October 12, 2010 at 8:45 am #358595Thank you for the very quick response. I contacted the website’s hosts who say that 5.2.14 is the latest stable and fully tested version of php. Being on a shared server, they will not update it soon. Version 5.3.3 is only available for those who use dedicated servers and are willing to take the risk.
This seems like an impasse. Is there an earlier version of the T3 framework that works with earlier versions of php and the JA Droid template?
Many thanks,
Steve ADon Lee FriendDon Lee

October 14, 2010 at 12:35 pm #358978I found the solution! The host server I use seems to be configured by default to run php 4. It is necessary to change it to php version 5. Although I knew the server could be configured to use either version, I had assumed it was set to the newer php 5.
I changed it by accessing the site’s server control panel (the website’s host uses the cpanel app) and going to the php configuration section. There I found a drop-down setting which allows: server default (the setting it was), php version 4, and php version5. I set it to version 5. Problem solved.
The guys at Joomlart worked hard on this one, not realising this configuration was the problem. Thank you, Joomlart, for your efforts. I should have checked the website host configurations in more detail first.
Cheers, Steve A1 user says Thank You to steveapple for this useful post
