    First, my configuration:

    Linux server using Nginx
Latest JAT3 framework, Joomla 2.5.6, using one of the Business templates (with modifications)
Global joomla cache is disabled as I’ve read here since cache on the template settings is enabled. Cache time is 60 minutes and handler is file.

The general website cache works fine, but I’m using 3 modules on the spotlight position which load some RSS feeds via PHP and update their contents. My aim is to have them refresh every 5-15 minutes, so I’ve configured each module and set cache time to 600 (for 10 minutes).

The problem is that the modules either do not get refreshed after the 10 minutes have passed, or they get refreshed only on SOME pages of the website where they appear. My guess is that somehow the whole page is getting cached and modules are not getting discriminated but I don’t have any other idea.

    Any help is appreciated 🙂

    Hi Bositman
When you used template cache method, please disable cache modules. Because cache method in template is cache page, so cache module will have not apply.

So the JAT3 template caching does not support separate cache for modules right? Is there any way this will be supported in the future?

    Thanks for the reply

    Hi Bositman
Sorry, the issue can not be resolved. You should only use a method or set time range same.

Well this is disappointing I love your template products but I cannot have us with templates that take an hour to refresh. I made a mistake one day and put two slide shows up on my front page. It took forever to have one of them go away. I guess it is okay if you have ahobby but as a business this will not work.

    Thanks

Well if he wanted a different cache for the slideshow only, that would not help. Which is the whole point of this thread 😛
