Error message is very unhelpful, it just says “-1 An Error has occurred Copy Failed”

I *think* it is because the hosting php environment hasn’t set either basedir or tmp_upload_dir (names from memory, so might be slightly wrong). I’ve spoken to the hosting support and they tell me that it doesn’t matter because the temporary directory is set.
I can update some extensions, so they’re clearly not entirely wrong.

I’m guessing that the JAT3 plugin installation uses these variables for its work and this is the problem, unless you know different?

Is there a workaround other than putting a php.ini in my website directory?
I can do that, but I’ll just have to wait until they reboot the server. They don’t publish any information about how long servers have been running or when they need to reboot, so if there’s a different workaround that would help.

This is Joomla 2.5.9 in a linux x_64 hosting environment.

    Regards
    Mark

    Hi Mark,

That is your server issue. If you cannot upgrade our product via JA Extensions Manager component, please try to add an FTP account into global configuration and note that our product cannot be upgraded via Joomla upgrades. Other way, you could upgrade our product by reinstalling over the older version (but need to take backup).

    Regards
