Quick question, will we be able to upgrade to joomla 3 and the jat3 v3 framework with a template designed for jat3 v2.5?

October 22, 2012 at 3:51 pm #470777Hi, thank you for your work, it’s really interesting.
I’ve found something strange:
I’ve installed the jat3v3 beta on joomla 2.5. I’ve seen that the menu-desc for mega menu
writes on the same line like the menu-title. (see image)
Before it was under the title.

October 22, 2012 at 4:28 pm #470780Hi there,
T3 Framework 3.0 will be definitely an amazing framework 😀 Thanks for all you efforts!
I just want to point out some really important issues in the current Beta 1 version:1. In the “Issue1.png” image you can see that the “Smart Phone” layout with the Mega Menu does not work properly when you hover it. Just increase the browser width to about 695px and you will be able to reproduce it with Firefox.
2. In “Issue2.png” image you can see that the the Menu Menu doesn’t work properly on “Tablet” layout. Again hover it to see what I mean.
3. In Issue3_IE8.png” you can see that the Mega Menu does not work at all 🙂 There is no drop-down.
4. And here, in “Issue4_IE8.png”, is the biggest issue – again the Mega Menu is enabled and the responsiveness is not working at all. The template is simply not responsive.
Once again, I just want to point out this issues so they can be fixed. I respect a lot the work you are doing guys 😉
I am looking forward to see the stable version 🙂P.S. This is the Joomla 2.5 version

October 25, 2012 at 4:28 pm #471112Hi again guys,
I was playing with the T3v3 (the package released on 23th) and I want to report another major issue – maybe you already know about it but still 🙂 The T3v3 has a lot of issues with IE8 (maybe the other versions of Internet Explorer as well, I haven’t tested them). In my previous post I reported that responsiveness doesn’t work in IE, but it seems that if you open T3v3 in IE in does not read the “custom.css” file at all. I was changing some styles and I was writing my custom CSS in the “custom.css” file and everything was good until I opened the site in IE8 😀 Almost none of my stylings was applied. The most strange thing is that the header color was changed (so styling for .ja-header works) but the styling for .ja-mainnav does not work… maybe some template overwrites, I don’t know (or something related to the bootstrap integration). I am not sending you a screenshot because you can easily reproduce the problem.
Another issue I mentioned in my previous post is the Mega Menu styling (I will not write about the issues in IE because the Mega Menu does not work there at all, no drop-down, etc…) – ok, maybe it will be better to attach screenshots again:1. Situation – Firefox 16.0.1, page opened in full screen (bigger than 1200px) – the “caret” (which comes from Bootstrap) is not showing properly, since it looks perfect in Chrome (see “chrome.png” and “firefox.png”)
2. Situation – The same in FF 16.0.1 and Google Chrome, page opened in tablet size (less then 980px) – there is a problem with the element width. When you hover on an element in the drop-down menu the blue hover line does not go to the end. Also the caret is not properly styled, it’s a mess (see “chrome1.png” and “firefox1.png”)
3. Situation – Both FireFox and Chrome – the issue is described in the screenshot
T3v3 will be hell of a framework, I really want to see the stable version soon so the party can start 😀
P.S. I’m still playing with the header and the menu so I do not know if there are other issues 😉

October 25, 2012 at 11:07 pm #471122I just noticed another issue 🙂
When you are using the Mega Menu, you hover over the main item in the menu and the drop-down appears… but when you move the mouse to hover an item from the drop-down the hover on the main item (level0 in T3v2 :D) disappears. The default menu (not Mega) works fine. Please see the screenshot to have a better picturePlease see the previos post as well. Thanks!
