January 25, 2012 at 2:00 pm #173182I installed kunena forum on my local site joomla 17 with jat3 blank multilanguange. Then when i click on menu “Forum” on italian menu the forum kunena appears but the menu desappears while in english menu everything works fine.
Any suggest?

January 25, 2012 at 3:12 pm #435380I fear that this is the same problem that happens with some other components, It would seem that while megamenu can handle modules in multi-language it can’t with components such as JoomShopping and maybe now Kunena. I take it that kunena itself has no problems being in the two languages?
I created a hack by copying the missing menu items in Italian menu and putting them into English menu and set them to language (Italian). I also made them external urls linked back to the proper Italian menu as this was the quickest way to do it and meant that if someone clicked on one of the ‘hacks’ in brought it back into the proper language megamenu.
I have no idea if that was the best way but as a complete novice at the time it seemed easiest. I haven’t changed it to date as I haven’t found a better way (and it’s only 8 weeks ago! 😉 ) Not the most elegant I know but it works and the user is none the wiser.
Hope that at least offers some solution.
Ciao
