    Hi

I’ve setup my template and had everything working fine. I was loading a different mainmenu depending if user was logged in.

My problem started when I changed the type of some menu items to “alias”. Now my layouts do not pick up the correct profile.

Even though I’ve assigned a layout to a menu item in Global tab, it does not show up and keeps reverting to the default setup.

    Any help appreciated.

    Using J1.5.21
    JAT3_blank 1.1.4
    Plugin: 1.1.6

    Using SEF?

    Hi,

Thanks, yes I’m just using the standard Joomla SEF.

Do I need to have a unique sef url for each menu item or should it be the same as the original menu link?

Joomla! core SEF cannot manage Itemid properly for several content type links. T3 Framework can work with Itemid and component name for profile override settings.

Within a Joomla! website, there could be several links to route to certain internal pages, and these links don’t always carry the Itemid value, but other SEF components like sh404SEF specificly routes all links with no Itemid to the corresponding ones having Itemid. So having Itemid, T3 Framework will load the proper profile.

So I recommend that your menu structure will never hold duplicate internal links, each page must have an unique Itemid.

    Hi,

Many thanks for your excellent support…

Sorry to be a pain… but I had the profile over-rides set.

I’ve changed the menu items to unique items and now the profile over-rides are not working. When I save / update a profile it says it has successfully saved the profile but my over-rides for menu items don’t kick in.

Any advice? Would it be a permissions issue with a file not getting written to?

Reset the profile in front-end, clear Joomla! cache, this should do.
