April 6, 2011 at 7:35 pm #162458Hello,
I read a lot of posts for Jateline IV for Joomla 1.6.
And the conclusion is :There are too many bugs in this (beautiful) template. So my question is: is there a new template corrected soon ?
We are still at version 1.0.1 Beta …!(For Joomla 1.5 version is 1.2.4)
What are the projects for this JoomlArt template ?
I’m a bit tired of posting problems and implement solutions, instead of actually developing a website !!!Paul Wallen FriendPaul Wallen

April 9, 2011 at 6:36 pm #385558I just experienced both versions and it’s not even close. Go with 1.5 even though 1.6 is available. 1.6 is much slower and buggy.

April 10, 2011 at 11:38 am #385596Yes, but for a new website, it is unfortunate to have to develop in joomla 1.5.
This means extra work to move from version 1.5 to 1.6 or 1.7 later …It’s very sad that JA Teline template IV is so buggy (the template and the components included)
Normally this would have been much more tested (before being announced as a new template) !!!
Currently, I lose a lot of time asking for help and seek how to fix these bugs.

April 11, 2011 at 12:41 pm #385763We are trying to fix bugs and have the official version as soon as possible. Since you know we have lots of template to take care of, and they are released one after another in a short time, its hard to get all them run well immediately. We appreciate your sympathy, and please check the download section regularly for new updated versions.

April 12, 2011 at 8:11 am #385895Yes I imagine that. But I don’t agree.
A better policy is to provide less templates, but in a more stable state ?? No ??
As a developer, it’s really a waste of time having to debug a template, which normally should not have too many bugs.
So what ?
Should I develop with Ja Teline IV for Joomla 1.5 or Joomla 1.6.
I did some tests with version for Joomla 1.5 and it’s much less buggy.
I really don’t know……………
I think the best solution is to continue to develop in Joomla 1.5 until Joomla 1.8 (the next long term support).Sincerelly Yours.

April 14, 2011 at 1:01 pm #386369I will rather thank the team for releasing a template we can use with Joomla 1.6. I’m not developing for Joomla 1.5 when Joomla 1.6 is much better to work with (cleaner code and better category-system). I think it will be much easier for me to upgrade the template when it’s stable than upgrade Joomla 1.5, the template, modules, plugins, components…

April 14, 2011 at 1:11 pm #386371Many of the bugs with the original J1.6 release have been fixed with the latest release of the template and the plugin. If you are still experiencing problems then please direct me to your threads so I can take a look.
At this current time a number of the J1.6 templates will remain in “Beta” simply because the original J1.5 versions included K2. As that is not available for J1.6 a lot of features are no longer present so until K2 is available they must remain marked as Beta releases.

April 15, 2011 at 7:17 am #386506after reading your post, I tried again with JaTelineIV and Joomla 1.6.
So I agree with you, there are far fewer bugs since the first version.
Now, I only see the “bug thumbnails and popup” (bug fixed in the forum) :
http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/article-picture/But it seems that JaTelineIV and Joomla 1.6 is a little less reactive than Joomla 1.5.
I don’t blame the template but rather joomla1.6 itself.
Maybe this is just an impression ? :confused:dieudonne Frienddieudonne
