Hi,

I use JCE as the editor.

I use the web link icon to link pictures to Joomla article content. When I link the images to Joomla articles, it takes it back to the home page.

How you add links ?

it should start with /index.php/yourcontentlink or /yourcontent link it is internal link

I use the GUI of JCE to add the internal link to content items. Its very user friendly.

Hi

Your article Project Work ( ID 100) should be linked to a menu item otherwise Joomla render it in the home page

I restored a trashed menu item ( Project work ) and now everything works fine links in JCE too i linked the article to the second image in slider position “Small Business” icon

That was only a work around so that I can test and see the article. I don’t want to post the article as a menu item. I want to be able to link the image to a Joomla content via the JCE editor.

If you better check, your image is linked, but content cannot be showed because it is not linked to a menu item .

Ignore the menu item link all together.

The JCE link functionality links to the article. Not the menu item.

I’ve added the menu item so that I can get the “external URL” and then link the image that way.

Therefore it should be ignored. JCE editor doesn’t work when you link images or text to joomla articles. As per the screenshot before, you can see the tree breakdown of the category to articles. That is how JCE links them without having to figure out what the URL is.

I’ve worked it out. Updated the JCE editor to the latest one plus Joomla version.
