1)I am trying to import about 4000 comments from JComments. The importer gets to about 2000 and then quits. It redirects to 500 – View not found [name, type, prefix]: imexport, html, jacommentView. Is there a way to do the import in parts, maybe like 1000 at a time to avoid timeout issues (I am assuming this is the issue)?

2)I am using HWDVideoshare (which integrates with JaComments), and for the comments that do import, I cannot see them on the video page.

    3) After import, there is no content title for the hwdvideoshare comments in the JaComment back-end. Unsolved

Anyways, from what I’ve seen so far, this comment system looks great. I cannot wait to get it working with my site.

    Thanks!

edit – I accidentally posted this in the problems solved forum.

OK, well I seemed to find a solution with problem 2 above. When importing the comments from JComments, the component name for the comments is com_hwdvideoshare_v. I had to change this to com_hwdvideoshare throughout the database. Now the comments are recognized by HWDvideoshare.

Well after repeatedly running the importer, it imported all the comments. I’m not sure if it imported a few hundred at a time and then eventually got all the comments or I just got lucky on one of the imports that manage to grab em all. Any ways, the issue has been resolvedm for me. I’m sure others may still have problems, especially with large comment database.

    Hello,

I don’t think it has problem with large database.
The importing system run with simple function: read record from jcomment then import to jacomment.
Let me know for further help.
