In which area you are trying to add the sharing tool tag code?
As I can see Here the sharing plugin is a content plugin that works in Joomla articles.
Try to add them in articles and check.

Hi
Each block is custom block and you can add custom text on them.
If you want to publish a custom html module on builder page you can use spotlight block and publish your custom html module on this position.
