August 25, 2012 at 7:39 am #180224I am having the “Jfolder::Create: Could not create directory. Warning: Failed to move file!” error. It is happening with a Joomla 1.7 and Joomla 2.5 sites. I contacted Godaddy and they assured me that they did not make any change in the settings of my account.
These sites have been hacked and am trying to install iJoomla SEO to update the metadata of all the pages and I can’t install that component. Then, I tried a few other uploads and they all failed due to this error.
I applied the permission privileges recommended in these cases, and checked the path of the logs and tmp directories and they are okay.
Please, what else can I try?
I would appreciate very much your help.Ninja Lead ModeratorNinja Lead

From error on your site I guess this is error of permission privileges folder on your hosting. Please send PM me with URL, admin access and FTP account. I will help you check on this.

January 30, 2013 at 3:23 pm #481715Hi oropo,
Which hosting are you using? While it would be easy for me to go in and change permissions or maybe manually create certain folders it may be better to quickly ask your host what they recommend. Some hosts even have a button in their cpanel to set file ownership correctly for you. We know some hosts but all have a slightly different way of setting up their permissions and security so they are often the best to advise.
One quick option for you that may work is to enable the ftp layer in joomla. This uses a different method to write files so can fixt problems such as this.

July 31, 2013 at 9:06 am #500742If you have any further issue about JA Template, don’t hesitate to contact us. It would be great if you can include url of your site, an illustrated screenshot of what you are trying to achieve. It would help to understand the issue and give you specific answers.
