I am using T3 Framework and Ja Social Template.
I installed Ja Content Slider on the same site. The content slider CSS is not working properly.
The problem is that the CSS that comes with the Content Slider does not even match the html written for it. I have version 1.1.1
For example, the divs that make up the sections of the content display– left, center, and right — have the styles specified with classes in the html in /modules/mod_ja_contentslide/helper.php, yet in the CSS file /modules/mod_ja_contentslide/assets/css/ja_contentslide.css, ja-contentslider-left and #ja-contentslider-right are named as ID’s.
This is more of a bug issue, but I am just wondering maybe I have the wrong version, or maybe I’m missing something here, or what the heck is wrong..
I mean, I can fix it, but again, what went wrong, should i NOT be using it….?
.. and how do I get the right version? I am not a member , but am doing this site for a client who got the template and the module a while ago and is apparently no longer a member.
Thanks, if there is in fact anything anyone can do.

March 8, 2011 at 9:10 pm #380381Where did you get the template download? You do not appear to have a valid membership.

I just saw this, and just edited the entire post cause I found the whole problem. What I originally stated was entirely wrong.
Regarding my membership, I have a “valid” free membership and have for years because I occasionally work on Joomlart Templates for others. I have no reason to maintain a paid membership because it is so infrequent.
Oh yeah, and I recently decided to check out T3.
If I may say, do you think your response here might be a bit snarky considering that you offer 3 month memberships and therefore someone could have paid for the template they need and then left?
Anyway, looking at the date in the module files, it seems it is probably very down level. Now is there any way for one to get an up level version of something? Or does someone have to be a paying member still?
Thanks…

</blockquote>I am not JA so I can only go from what I see. If you were a paid member at any time then your username would have and “Expired” tag denoting that fact. You would also have some downloads when clearly your username states you have 0 suggesting you did not get the template from this website. You are asking for support on a premium template only availabe to paying members. You may be 100% in that you are working for a client who has an active membership in which case you should be able to provide evidence. In that case I am sure JA would help even though their terms and conditions state support on paid products will in most cases only be given to those with an active membership. On the surface however it appears that you are using a non licenced copy of a JA product. On those grounds I am unwilling to assist you further until you can provide me with that evidence.
March 10, 2011 at 1:53 am #380620Well, I’m pretty sure he had a membership at one time, but not anymore. I asked for a login before I posted anything, and he said it expired, so I thought I would log in with mine and see if I could just get a simple answer on the forum
But instead of a simple answer to the simple question, “is there a more up level version of the Content Slider?” , I get continued this nastiness instead of simple help. If I knew that we could get a more up level version, I am sure he’d happy to pay for it because he really likes it and is using it on older sites that I am certain he must have paid for at one time. The problem is, that version does not work on newer sites.
But I think we’re going to use another solution instead because I still don’t have the answer to that question, and whoever you are, you seem more interested in escalating arguments and making accusations and generally being a negative person rather than resolving the issue. Instead of expending so much energy on all of that, you could have converted this to memberships and sales.
It’s too bad because Joomlart seems to make some good stuff, but they’re losing a sale where they might have had one. I clearly asked if we had to buy some thing, which clearly indicates we were ready to buy, and yet you managed to derail the whole thing.
What a waste of life energy, dude. Jeez. Get a prescription or something.
I’m outta here….

March 10, 2011 at 3:58 am #380643Hi Eric,
Thanks for clarifying that matter… Just to confirm you that you are having the latest version of the module (1.1.1).
However, In case you need to get technical support, you have to use a paid account to contact us (in support site or even in forums). Otherwise others would think that you might be a pirate then… and refuse to help you…though they know how to fix, or the question is even so easy to answer…
Phill is not a JA staff, he is just a JA member like you, we have promoted him “Moderator” since his enthusiasm helping other members by his technical skills as well as helping us a part of forums management… A technical guy like him is much able to satisfy others by solutions to fix technical issues.., so sale support is not profession skill.:) You will see the his left part when coming back here with a valid inquiry…:p
Eric, please ask your client for his account as well as renewing it if it’s expired then we would be able to assist you further..
Have a nice day!
Cheers,
Don

Not trying to be nasty at all. I have no access to records to show you have paid nor do I even know the username of the member you are working for. As such I cannot see whether you were entitled to use the JA Social template or not which is why I was asking for clarification.
You have to understand that we see many users with pirated copies of templates asking for support. If a user does not appear to have a valid membership, something for which I can only see to a limited level, then it would be wrong of me to provide support until their status can be clarified.

March 10, 2011 at 8:37 am #380688Hi Sparkydog,
You could have followed the updates link from the main menu >> http://update.joomlart.com/
You can check if the template / extension have new version release.
If the member has valid active membership, we provide support. If you look at your profile it doesnot have the membership info and the download counter is 0. So, technically you are not authorized to use that template at this stage, if you bought it earlier with valid membership and are using it since then, you can use it but for support you have to be active paid member.
I am sure you understand this very well. Phill stands correct in his question and he has been very polite to you.
If you want support, please renew your membership. We wont be able to support until then.
@phil thanks.
Regards
Arvind
March 21, 2011 at 9:40 pm #382583Hi,
I am an active member and we are having the same problem with this module. We are using the JA Community template and the JA Content Slider is not complying with the CSS defined in the article. The photos are assigned float left, and it is not wrapping the text around the images. Also, it is not clearing one content item before sliding in the next content item. Here is the page we are working on: http://www.landaudesign.com/vfhc/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=8&Itemid=10&lang=enWe just downloaded the template and extension a few weeks ago. The live site hasn’t launched yet, but we need to get this working before it launches. We tried using a module from a different company, but there were jQuery conflicts so it looks like we have to use yours.
Please tell me how to get the content to conform to the layout I’ve specified in the article.
Thanks,

Could you publish the module again so that i can check the css? I visited your site, but it seems like that you have unpublished this module. -
