I’m using Joomla 6.4.3 and recently started having problems with ja hot spot 1.0.8 giving an Error JLIB_JS_AJAX_ERROR_PARSE. I checked with the template provider joomladesigns.co.uk on the energize template and they advised it’s an issue with a module or component. I thought it to be with the back end admin page ISIS as that’s when I noticed it. Hathor admin template doesn’t give that error but that’s not a nice template to work with. So I just purchase the JA Admin template and still see the same error.

So at this point I’m not sure if it’s the back end templates, the module JAImageHotspot or joomla itself.

My site is behind a firewall so you won’t be able to access it. I appreciate your time in advance

I can find that error "JLIB_JS_AJAX_ERROR_PARSE" from both files

administrator/language/en-GB/en-GB.lib_joomla.ini
language/en-GB/en-GB.lib_joomla.ini

with code

JLIB_JS_AJAX_ERROR_PARSE="A parse error has occurred while processing the following JSON data:<br/><code style="_QQ_"color:inherit;white-space:pre-wrap;padding:0;margin:0;border:0;background:inherit;"_QQ_">%s</code>"

But I’m not sure where can I duplicate this bug at my end. You can give me the credential info: URL and admin login via your reply and set it as private reply. I will check further
