Shouldn’t the job applicant (job seeker) get a confirmation mail everytime he/she applies for a job? I am not getting one wehn appliying trough the short form at the bottom of each job.

We will add this as new feature in the next release. On submitting application, job seeker will have an option to select types of notification as in the picture below (allow multi select)

Will this work when applying trough the small form at the end of the job without being registered? I don’y want to make users register to apply for a job.

can work for guest apply if they provide any email.
However, this will be a part of job applying improvement scheduled in our Roadmap
