I’ve just configured the v.1.4.3 of JA Job Board and start testing. Not for my surprise, in few seconds I find a bug, as following:

In the “JB Login Module“, the links “Register as an Employer” (index.php?option=com_jajobboard&view=jauserregister&layout=regemployerform&Itemid=9999) and “Register as a Job Seeker” (index.php?option=com_jajobboard&view=jauserregister&layout=regjobseekerform&Itemid=9999) led to a incomplete page, without css layout.

Please, don’t release and announce new versions if you don’t have tested it appropriately.

    Hi,

The reason to the problem above described seems to be a conflict with the settings in “Front-end User Parameters” item, located in Site > Global Configuration > System > User Settings and the new field “Time Zone” included in the job board register forms.

When the CMS is configured to “Hide” the Front-end User Parameters, the problem occurs in JA Job Board.

It’s a CMS configuration matter, but anyway, unfortunately, it’s a bug on JA Job Board.

    Hello Mods

I have just bought the JA Job Board a week back and now there is a new version released. I was under the impression that I will be eligible for free upgrades but I am not able to download the latest version.

Can somebody shed some light on this matter and let me know if my assumption of eligibility for upgrade download is correct

    TIA
    Nishant

I have the same problem as the above poster. I am a Joomlart member and previous recent purchaser of the Ja Job Board, yet I get an error message saying we ‘do not have permission to access this page’ when I click on the download link.

    Hi

I have already tried using that page but when I click on the ‘download’ icon, it shows an error message of ‘file not found’.

It would be great if someone authorised can take a look and let me know whats the matter

    Thanks

    Hi Nishant,

Please try again to download via unique link under your member area as it works fine now. Our account manager has just tested the function successfully.

    Hi JA Developer

I have again tried using the same link and I am still getting the same error message of ‘Error: File not found’ .
I would appreciate if you can get someone to take a second look.

If there is some problem on my end, then can you kindly upload the latest version on our fip. I will pm you the ftp details once you let me know your thoughts on this.

    Thanks
    Nishant

The information posted by employer users in location_id field is not displayed in JOB LISTS and JOB VIEWS layouts/pages. The same occurs when using cat_id field, added in Job Lists through the ‘Field List Customization’.

It seems to be a problem with multiple select type fields, when data is posted by employer users. This type of data simply is not recorded in the database, because in our tests when a employer tries to edit the posted job the multiple select type fields are blank. The employer ‘losts’ it’s work and time filling this fields…

I think it’s a very serious problem, as it is a clear front-end (Job lists and Job views) and back-end problem, The system should record and display location_id information even when posted by employers.

The error does not occur when a job is edited by administrator in back end.

The error does not occur when using single select or text field types data in Job lists.

Please take a look at that ASAP. Thank you.

    Hi sfjoomlart,

Could you give me your admin account and FTP account for a closer look?

    Hi sfjoomlart,

This has been updated in the latest version 1.4.4.
After update, if you would like to keep and use old data, you shall manually adjust because it is only effective to the new data.
